It complies with guidelines for disinfection within ultrasound, such as BMUS, WFUMB and the Society for Maternal Fetal-Medicine.

Consisting of an Activator Foam and three Wipes, when used in sequence, they perform the decontamination procedure:

High-Level Disinfection – The Tristel Sporicidal Wipe combines with the Tristel Activator Foam to create chlorine dioxide, a high-level disinfectant that eliminates microorganisms from medical device surfaces in 30 seconds. 

Rinsing – The Tristel Rinse Wipe is impregnated with sterile water to remove any chemical residue from medical device surfaces after high-level disinfection.

<p>Tristel Solo for Ultrasound disinfectant wipes are designed specifically for the simple and effective disinfection of skin surface probes and ultrasound station monitors, keyboards, probe holders and cables.</p><p>These disinfectant wipes are based on a Quaternary Ammonium Compound (QAC) in the form of didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride. To aid cleaning and soil removal, the formulation incorporates two non-ionic surfactants and one chelating agent.</p><p>Tristel Solo for Ultrasound disinfectant wipes are made of a high-quality 40gsm polycellulose material.</p><p>Each wipe measures 27 x 20 cm and offers excellent surface coverage for skin surface probes, monitors, keyboards, probe holders&nbsp; and cables.
