<div>Portia by Bray rigid polythene ring pessaries have a wall thickness of 7.5mm and are available in 15 diameter sizes ranging from 50mm to 100mm. The vaginal ring pessary is a white uniform symmetrical smooth torus-shaped ring of plastic which is a simple, stand-alone device not requiring any interaction with any other device, medicine or accessory.&nbsp; It is an invasive device placed through a body orifice, is not a surgically invasive device and is not intended for connection to an active device for long-term use. It is recommended to replace the pessary before a maximum time of 6 months.</div><div><br></div><div>INDICATIONS FOR USE:</div><div>The&nbsp; Portia by Bray rigid polythene ring pessary&nbsp; is prescribed to patients by a Healthcare Professional (HCP) for the treatment of symptomatic uterine prolapse&nbsp; after consultation and a simple, painless internal procedure. In most cases the vaginal ring pessary will be fitted by a HCP. In some parts of the UK, where primary or secondary healthcare units have decided that such initiatives are appropriate, patients with sufficient mobility, strength and aptitude are encouraged by their prescribing doctor or specialist nurse to remove and replace the vaginal ring pessary by themselves. Self-management programs are conducted by medical professionals and operate under their supervision. Contraindications may include fitting discomfort, bleeding, ulceration, inflammation of the pelvis, infection such as vaginitis, patient non-compliance and delayed follow up.</div>
